Born in 1960, he is a senior researcher at the Universityof Tartu, Estonia in the Institute of Chemical Physics. He received his B.Sc. in bioorganic chemistry in 1983 from the University of Tartu, degree of candidate of sciences (Ph.D.) in organic and bioorganic chemistry in 1987 from the Estonian Institute of Chemistry and M.D. (doctor of medical sciences) in 1995 from Uppsala University, Sweden. He has had postdoctoral training in Tokyo University, Japan (1990-1992) and in Uppsala University, Sweden (1992-1996). Director of finance of OÜ TorroSen, member of board.
