Dr. István Peták is a senior scientist at the Ist Department of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research of Semmelweis University. He is also the scientific director of the Rational Drug Design Laboratories Cooperation Research Center Supported by Fulbright Scholarship, he spent almost five years at the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. His special interest is the development of novel therapeutic approaches targeting the molecular regulation of cell death and survival and molecular diagnostic methods for personalized therapy. Dr. Peták has published several original scientific articles in leading scientific journals of Cancer Research, JCO and Cell Death and Differentiation.
