Tom is one of the founders of CeMines, and has 25 years of research in the areas of molecular biology that now forms the basis for CeMines’ scientific platforms. Tom has published more than 80 research papers and presented at hundreds of scientific forums in more than 15 countries. Tom holds six US and European patents, and has 14 patents pending. He obtained his Ph.D. in Molecular Developmental Biology, from The Institute of Developmental Biology, Moscow, Russia in 1983. Subsequent to receiving his Ph.D., Tom has led research teams at some of the world’s most prestigious universities & research institutions in Europe and the United States, including: Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics (Tallinn, Estonia), University of Helsinki (Helsinki, Finland),Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden), Max Planck Institute of Biophysical Chemistry (Goettingen, Germany).
