Trends in Medical Biotechnology R&D of Central Europe“Trends in Medical Biotechnology R&D of Central Europe” analysis shows potential of the CE region in biomedical applied science. This work provides an introduction into the region by showing trends.The study is based on publicly available information as well as a series of direct interviews with scientists carrying R&D projects and representing seven countries of the region: Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia. The issues covered in this paper include research trends, patenting and financial aspects concerning R&D projects, as well as opinions and observations about science commercialization in Central Europe. The review contains a list of R&D projects open for cooperation. |
