2009-12-09 Polish Ministry of Economy supports implementation of innovativeness

Ministry of Economy and the Institute for Sustainable Technologies - National Research Institute in Radom will begin implementation of two long-term programs that promote innovative technologies and their transfer into economy. The estimated financial benefit of both programs amounts to 112 million PLN.

Long-term program "Innovative system solutions for sustainable development of economy” envisages implementation of about 150 solutions in the development of innovation, increase of competitiveness and assistance with balanced economic development. Financial profit from the transfer of these solutions into economy is expected to reach up to 100 million PLN.

This program is a part of the most important strategic documents of EU and Poland, including the renewed Lisbon Strategy, as well as of the 2007-2013 program aiming at increasing innovation in Polish economy.

The second ME program for promotion and commercialization of advanced innovation (2010-2011) envisages sale or licensing of minimum 10 novel devices and 10 new technologies, based on high-tech, nanotechnology for surface engineering, recycling, counteract technical threats or elimination of disasters consequences. Polish Ministry of Economy estimates profits from sale of the innovative solutions at 12 million PLN.
