2009-11-24 Euroregional Pharmacy Center will arise in Bialystok

The Euroregional Pharmacy Center will not only be a place for education of future pharmacists but also a modern center for research and development with an international scope.

Medical University of Bialystok concluded an agreement with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development on the transfer of nearly 55 million PLN from the Operational Program Development of the East Poland for the purpose of the Center. It is expected that work will start in September and will be finalized by the fall of 2011. such arrangements would enable opening the academic year 2011/2012.

The Pharmacy Center will contain lecture and seminar halls, training pharmacy and specialized research laboratories with a total area of about 8 thousand square meters.

Euroregional Center Pharmacy in Bialystok will cooperate with other medical units from Poland and its border areas, as well as with the police, prosecutor's office, fire service, border guards in the aspect of pharmaceuticals analysis. The new center will improve conditions of medical students education.
