2009-10-28 3rd Conference ‘Science for Business’ and ‘Malopolska Innovator 2009’ laureates

The conference ‘Economy development based on science – from theory to practice’ will take place in Cracow on 16th November 2009.
This year’s edition covers thema on practical approach of Polish and foreign specialists to science-business cooperation as a source of innovation. Successful companies originating from scientific environment will present their experience in research commercialization.

Regional contest Innovator Malopolski 2009 appointing discoverers from the region of South Poland will accompany to the conference. The competition will be followed by handing subsidies to successful inventors for founding a company.

Both the conference and the contest constitute parts of the Innovation and Creativity Festival, which will also include exhibition of technology transfer history and technological curiosities coming from Technical University of Cracow.

Organizers invite Polish and foreign representatives of both science and business areas, together with all the individuals interested in the cooperation between the two ‘worlds’.

Case studies on science commercialization will be presented by two start-up companies: from Poland and Coventry University, and by Implementation Department of the Polish National Centre of Research and Development (NCBiR).
