2009-04-27 Poland: EU support of innovativeness of Polish entrepreneurs

310 applications has been already placed by Polish businessmen for EU grants within Innovative Economy Operational Program (section 1.4-4.1 ‘Support of R&D projects and their commercialization’) to the total amount of 1 billion 83 million PLN.

The total budget of the program is 780mln EUR for the 2007-2013 period. 60% of the funds is dedicated to the SME sector.

Although deadline for submissions expires this week, it has been already known that not all applicants will receive funds in the 1.4 section, while everybody will be supported in the 4.1 section.
The pool of the 1.4 section has been set to 293 728 000PLN, while the companies required amount of almost 385mlnPLN. .

Micro, SME and large enterprises may participate in the mentioned EU programs. They need just to be settled in the republic of Poland.
The founded projects should concentrate on satisfying needs of a given entrepreneur with results based on R&D. Applying company does not have to carry the research itself.

1.4 section of EU program provides for research carried up to prototype, and 4.1 section supports following implementation of the innovation into practice. Successive completion of the research part of the scientific project constitutes a condition for an application for the commercialization part of funding.
