2009-04-23 Poland: Financial injection for polish Bioton

Bioton SA has obtained 277mln PLN from investors, venture capital and open pension funds, who were attracted by few dozen of meetings. New strategy of Bioton group for years 2009-2012 was presented at the meetings.

According to Bioton CEO, Janusz R.Guy, the company aims now at increase in sale of insulin on international markets, mainly through alliances with strategic partners with developed trade networks. The plan encloses also cooperation with strong partners in commercialization of next pharmaceuticals of Bioton portfolio. The new products would be registered on such markets as EU, US, Russia together with Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and China.

Around 90 qualified investors become convinced to invest in Bioton, among them national venture capitals and foreign subjects associated with pharmaceutical industry.
