2009-04-09 Poland: Desired investor for new network of diagnostic laboratories

Cracow company BioTe21 seeks for investor to create innovative network of genetic diagnostic laboratories, able to compete with Western European developed market. The amount of desired capital would depend on scale of the undertaking.

According to the company representative, Aneta Poznanska, success of this project relies on the network of genetic laboratories supported by centralized system for managing distribution of the diagnostic tests, as well as effective distribution and promotion.

Interest in such project is a result of the actual situation at the Polish market of genetic tests. There has been several thousands of different tests, commonly poorly promoted, which are conducted separately by different laboratories specializing in defined kind of studies. Thus, the access to information on tests interesting for a client is limited, what often discourages from applying these preventive measures.
