2009-03-18 Poland: New options of business co-operations for R&D projects on Central European Forum

Seed Fund, managed by JCI Venture Ltd, involves search and verification of research projects with business potential, and their commercialization through company creation followed by financial support of its development. We expect creation of over a dozen of companies, operating mainly in the life sciences area. Therefore, BioForum 2009 will be a great platform for networking and search of unique R&D projects for further co-operation, said Pawel Blachno - President of the Jagiellonian Innovation Center Ltd, founder and principal shareholder of JCI Venture Ltd.

The basic activities of JCI Venture is to identify innovative solutions and test their potential market, find an innovative solution to market analysis, make a business plan development, capital investments and monitoring investments. The cluster is designed to combine and develop the resources and competence from Life Science area in order to make effective use of the existing possibilities, and opportunities associated with the development of innovative knowledge-based economy and experience. “Lifescience Cluster Krakow”, a prestigious panel presented at BioFourm 2009 - Central European Forum of Biotechnology will be concentrated on activities supporting innovation in Malopolska Lifescience sector and aid programs with European and global clusters.

One can attend the Lifescience Cluster Krakow panel in the second day of BioForum 2009. Central European Forum of Biotechnology gathers researchers presenting R&D projects of biotechnology sector and research services together with bio-business people willing to invest in science.
