2009-02-19 Poland: Krakow Technology Park is acceding to the European Business & Innovation Center NetworkKrakow Technology Park(KPT), which manages the Special Economic Zone in Krakow, has been invited to the European Business & Innovation Center Network(EBN). The network operates under the auspices of the European Commission and consists of more than 200 platforms of business and innovation. As informed Barbara Witynska-Slacz from KPT, this is the first polish enterpreneur acceding to EBN.
This brings enormous benefits for the development of KPT such as: understanding the specificity of action on the world stage of business and innovation, access to a broad base of economic tools, databases, expertise, assistance in the implementation of international projects, the support of experts, ability to establish cooperation with other participants in the network is a short period of time, explained Witynska-Slacz.
EBN was founded in 1984 as a joint initiative of the European Commission, industrial world and the first pioneers of innovation and business center. It brings together over 200 business and innovation platforms, including related structures such as: technology parks, incubators, technology transfer centers, regional development agencies, and smaller entities in their environment.
Krakow Technology Park is the company managing the Special Economic Zone in Krakow. The biggest project of the company is the construction of Malopolska Information Technology Cluster in Pychowice, nearby Krakow.
