2008-11-18 Antiglaucoma drug Rozalin on the Polish Market"Adamed - the leading Polish pharmaceutical producer, launches a new medicine named Rozalin used in the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. The market for this drug is about 50 million PLN per year. So far, only one was available product offered by a foreign group and Polish new store is an opportunity to reduce the cost of therapy for more than 100 thousand patients "
The process of registration of medicine on the Polish market started in 2006 and lasted for nearly 2 years. It was required from manufacturer to carry out their own tests of efficacy compatible with the guidelines of the EMEA (European Medicines Agency), and a study of local tolerance. Rozalin, which is based on active substance dorzolamid , has passed successfully the registration process .
Among the Polish pharmaceutical companies Adamed is a pioneer of investment in research on the exploration of new drugs. The Research - Development department of the company has been appointed to seek effective and innovative therapies in selected therapeutic groups, and to develop and implement new generic drugs.
In the past three years on research and development was earmarked over 70 million PLN. The result of these efforts are 22 patent applications on the active substances and its own formula for drugs.
Adamed cooperates with leading clinical centers of medical academies and scientific institutes in Warsaw, Poznan, Wroclaw and Lublin in Poland The company also conducted a multicenter clinical trials in the United States in the Cleveland Clinic in Florida, Colorado Gynecology and Continence Center and Evaston Continence Center.
