2008-11-18 Antiglaucoma drug Rozalin on the Polish Market

Rozalin is a medicine reducing intraocular pressure in the eye is used to treat glaucoma and ocular high blood pressure. In Poland, for this condition suffer around 800 thousand. people, of which treats every eighth patient. The therapy by Rozalin helps to lower the cost of treatment for patients with this disease by 30 %. in relation to current therapy earlier on the Polish market.

The process of registration of medicine on the Polish market started in 2006 and lasted for nearly 2 years. It was required from manufacturer to carry out their own tests of efficacy compatible with the guidelines of the EMEA (European Medicines Agency), and a study of local tolerance. Rozalin, which is based on active substance dorzolamid , has passed successfully the registration process .

The Research - Development department of the company has been appointed to seek effective and innovative therapies in selected therapeutic groups, and to develop and implement new generic drugs.

In the past three years on research and development was earmarked over 70 million PLN. The result of these efforts are 22 patent applications on the active substances and its own formula for drugs.
