The global pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis has announced the increase of its bid for Zentiva pharmaceutical company shares to CZK 1,150 (€46.5) in cash per share. The companies signed an agreement on 22 September but the deal requires the approval of the Czech National Bank and the Office for the Protection of Competition (UOHS). According to the deal, Sanofi-Aventis will continue its business operations in the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Hungary, the Baltic countries and Russia under Zentiva brand names separately or in association with its own brand names.
