2008-10-07 Hasco-Lek is going to open a new plant.

Hasco-Lek CEO, Stanislaw Han is signing the notariat deed for the new plant construction In the beginning of October the board of Hasco-Lek put the foundation-stone in place where the new factory is being built – Siechnice near Wroclaw (Poland). The investment will cost around 73 mln PLN (21.2 mln EUR).

Lack of the expansion possibility of the present Hasco-Lek factory caused the decision to purchase a plot for the new plant. The executive board decided that new factory will be located in Industrial Activity Zone in Siechnice. The construction works started in July 2008 and are planning to be finished in next year coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Hasco-Lek activity.

"We could not have wished any better gift for that anniversary” - said Stanislaw Han, CEO of Hasco-Lek.

There are plans of production department, R&D laboratories and magazines to be located in the new plant. Lion share of expenses will be spent on the most modern production equipment. The plant area will cover 9200 cubic meters and will have ISO 14001 Environment Management System introduced.

Next to the document, a newspaper dated on October 1st 2008 was also placed in the capsule.

"The first drug produced by our old factory is antitussive syrup Tussipini. I remember the time of industry pioneers during changes in Polish economy. Those times I worked with just few people. Nowadays, we employ more than half of thousand people. It represents a way Hasco- Lek has gone through and its present position” – said Stanislaw Han - "Although nowadays we are specialized in elastic capsules production, we still have a Tussipini in our offer because it is still a trusted drug among patients”

Presently Hasco-Lek portfolio contains over 200 products with wide therapeutic spectrum.

The new plant will enable company to increase both number of products and the market contribution. According to IMS Poland, a company specialized in analysis of pharmaceutical market in Poland, in July 2008 Hasco-Lek was the 8th company on the list of 700 corporations, evaluated in the study in terms of sold drug packs.
