2008-09-19 BioVitrum begins study in Poland

BioVitrum AB, a pharmaceutical firm with operations in Sweden and the UK, announced the start of a clinical phase II study with Exinalda, a candidate drug for the treatment of fat malabsorption, in Poland and the Netherlands. The study comprises 18 patients and its results are expected during the first half of 2009.

Exinalda is one of six specialist candidate drugs in the company’s portfolio (seven are already on the market). BioVitrum takes the drugs all the way to market and then handles their marketing itself.
