On the 5th December 2012 BioMaxima signed a letter of intent with German company, HSG-IMIT, in terms of a development project concerning automatic integrated micro-flow analysis to be used in a specialist diagnostic platform, LabDisk. This new device enables one to conduct a set of research having just a single drop of blood. As compared to presently used analyzers and research methods, the platform utilizes from 10 up to 100 times less blood material and allows running nearly 100 different tests. Thanks to its small size, handling facility and high precision of assays the new diagnostic platform should easily find many ways of application at the diagnostic laboratories, hospitals and medical clinics.
BioMaxima co. plans to start production of the platform at its own production facility located within the Special Economic Zone. Signing of the proper contract with HDG-IMIT will take place until the 30th April 2012. Afterwards, the prototype of the LabDisk will be prepared within 3-6 months.
